Project GAMMA Pixel

GAMMA recently updated and optimised the paint departments in 92 branches in the Netherlands under the project name ‘Pixel’. This major operation aimed to improve the presentation and user-friendliness of the departments. Cor Verkolf played an important role in this by taking care of the development, delivery and assembly of the shelving material.

Marjolein Kuik-Linschoten, Project Leader Store Development at InterGAMMA, says: ‘We wanted to revamp our paint departments, with a focus on a clear layout and a better customer experience. Together with our partners, we looked for solutions that fit well with consumer wishes. Cor Verkolf contributed to this project in a very valuable way.’

Collaboration

‘When converting so many branches in a short time, everything has to be well organised. You could compare it to a military operation. There are 92 branches for which an enormous amount of new shelving material has to be stocked so that we never miss a thing. Cor Verkolf played an important role in helping to develop the new presentations. In the end, we sometimes optimised up to six branches per week.’

‘The revamped departments are clearer, with a logical layout and lower shelving. Customers now find what they need faster,’ Marjolein concludes. ‘We have already received a lot of positive feedback from both employees and customers.’
